Kai-Hendrik is an ELLIS PhD candidate at Universitat de València and the Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry, under the supervision of Gustau Camps-Valls, Markus Reichstein and Gherardo Varando. His work focuses on robust inference and extrapolation in semi-parametric hybrid models applied to the terrestrial carbon cycle. Beyond that, his interests lie in uncertainty quantification, geospatial foundation models, and climate economics.
