Jayesh Tripathi

Jayesh Tripathi is a PhD student at Friedrich Schiller University Jena in the Computer Vision Group led by Prof. Joachim Denzler. His research focuses on developing robust and trustworthy AI systems that can generalise reliably under distribution shifts and changing real-world conditions. He is particularly interested in building causal model-based AI systems that make decisions based on underlying causal mechanisms. His previous work has explored distribution shifts in disaster-response imagery and cybersecurity. More broadly, he is interested in causal machine learning, AI robustness, and the development of reliable intelligent systems for high-stakes applications.
