David Mickisch

David is a research associate and ELLIS PhD candidate in the Computer Vision Group Jena, supervised by Prof. Dr. Joachim Denzler. His research focuses on probability density estimation with broader interests in uncertainty quantification and causality. He also teaches courses at the Computer Science Department of Friedrich Schiller University Jena. He holds an M.Sc. in Mathematics. Prior to joining Friedrich Schiller University Jena, he worked on safety and security evaluations of machine learning models with a German start-up company. He subsequently moved into academic research, focusing on machine learning for remote-sensing and geospatial data.
