Dr. Zhihao Wang

Zhihao is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Space Earth Sciences, Nanjing University. Her research focuses on remote sensing image processing, natural hazard assessment, geomorphic characterization, and explainable artificial intelligence. Her broader research interests lie at the intersection of geographic information science, machine learning, remote sensing, and Earth surface processes, with particular emphasis on developing reliable and interpretable models for landslides, floods, and geomorphic systems. Dr. Wang received her Ph.D. from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, in 2023. She was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Davis, from 2023 to 2025.
